Society Empowerment Project (SEP) is a community based organization focused on empowering youth and promoting community development in the rural town of Oyugis and the surrounding Homa Bay County . The region is characterized by high levels of HIV/AIDS infections, poverty, limited education opportunities and food insecurity. SEP uses agriculture as a means of empowering communities for food security and for income generation. Football is our primary strategy for mobilization and awareness creation on reproductive health issues including HIV/AIDS. SEP has also had successful economic development programs in promoting agriculture productivities through football activities around Rachuonyo South district. Thus enhances economic peace building which targets both micro- and macro- levels and aims to create economic opportunities and ensures that the basic need of the generations are met.

The Society Empower Project (SEP), is a community based organization focused on empowering youth and promoting community development in the rural town of Oyugis and in Homa Bay County of Kenya. This region has been hit hard by the HIV/AIDS epidemic and faces high rates of poverty, tenuous food security, and limited educational opportunities. SEP is addressing these critical issues through two unique approaches: youth developmental football and youth self-help agriculture. SEP is a proud implementing partner in the BUYAS program in Kenya. Much appreciations to the Bundesliga for balls donation to BUYAS - Kenya organizations. This donation has come in at the right time, when our youth needed like no other day in history, especially in the presence of COVID-19 Pandemic.
Below are some of our recent events in respect to our community outreach and activities.
